Special kit designed specifically to fit 99-04 Land Rover Discovery 2. Provides much more consistent temperature around selected thermostat setting. Improved reliability over factory system. Includes two paper gaskets, your choice of temperatures in one high quality thermostat, hose splice that goes in place of factory thermostat, bolts, and full instructions. Existing hose clamps and hoses are re-used. Thermostat delete option also available. 2003 Land Rover...
With the 2 supplied paper gaskets I had seepage of coolant. I took a dye grinder and enlarged the outlet housing to accept the thermostat flush with the housing and used the Chevy Big Block silicon gasket and leak repaired. Make sure to verify your coolant sensor accuracy.

Best investment for a d2 you could possibly...
I was constantly troubled with my coolant temps hovering between 203 and 210 which seemed outside the normal to me as a mechanic. I did some research and a lot of people mentioned that the inline thermostat mod was the best possible cooling upgrade you can do. Man we're those people right. I stumbled across this side while looking into it and took the plunge. Took all of 30 minutes to install bleed and test drive the car for several days. I have yet to see over 190 driving around town where as I was used to seeing 210 constantly. Got my part in 2-3 days and waisted no time installing.
